Musings of my kids - Blood

I was chatting with my kids inquiring about their day at school. One kid, in Kinder Garten, told that he learned about blood in the science class.  Out of curiosity,

Me: Interesting. what did you learn about blood?

Kid: Human beings have blood. All animals have blood.

Me: Good. What else did you learn?

Kid: Blood is red in color.

Me: Why is blood red?

[he thought for a while]

Kid: because it rhymes with blood, BLOOD :: RED

What can I say?
